Jose L Stress Impacts Emotions
This pandemic has made us realize that what we used to cope with life or our situations or stresses and what makes us anxious is no longer working. To some of us coping with our stress and anxiety by going out social events or just engaging in social interaction helps and that’s not occurring anymore. One of the things that I would encourage for us to do during these times is be aware that the stress and anxiety that we’re feeling because of this pandemic and these changes is normal.
We are going to go through stress and being aware of what that stress and anxiety does to us when we are experiencing, will allow us to better control it. Stress and anxiety can have a huge impact on our emotions and our mood and how we respond to situations normally. When we are not able to control our emotions or stress and anxiety, which leads to that emotional deregulation, we’re going to see a lot of negative interactions in our life.
We need to be aware of when we’re experiencing those unhealthy levels of stress and anxiety. It’s normal, though. What we are experiencing is normal and what we can do as human beings is help each other. I think one of the best thing we can do is talk about it. Having this interaction with you today is just one of the first times that I’m opening up in detail about how I view stress and anxiety and how it has impacted my life.
The change that we are experiencing is normal. One of the things that does create stress and anxiety is changed. So understand that what we are feeling because of these changes in our state, because of the pandemic, is normal. I would encourage you to find something that helps you cope with it, something healthy that helps you cope with it, engage in some activities or meditation, or seek professional help, even if it doesn’t get to the unhealthy levels, it’s always okay to talk about it.
